Transforming the Body of God
through passionate participation

The future of humanity is in the hands of those who are capable of giving generations to come reasons for living and hoping.
Sr. Paula Gonzalez, a native of New Mexico, has spent over 40 years engaging in the work of faith and creation care. She believes we have come to a crossroads where we must vigorously and urgently act if we wish for future generations to have an inhabitable planet in which to live. Sr. Paula will invite us as moral agents to passionate participation and co-creation with God for our future—a future rooted in the interconnected web of precious life and the inherent dignity of all of creation.
Through the following teachings, Sr. Paula will deepen our awareness of the issues that face us:
- The urgent need to transition quickly towards renewable forms of energy
- Understanding the moral implications of our petroleum-based system of food production
- Engaging the UN Earth Charter as a document of hope and renewal
- How we can move vigorously towards change
May we inspire in one another the hope to face the challenges together and to understand what is required of each of us at this pivotal moment in history. Such is the first step in the journey to heal the Body of God.
